Rachelle Sinclair

FFF LOVES… Rachelle’s cool and eclectic style, and her daredevil attitude to hula-hooping in heels.

What are your staples?
A handful of vintage rings and bracelets from my travels around LA and the UK, my black ZARA jacket with elaborate shoulder pads, a very worn vintage black and gold backpack and few pieces that are always very easy to wear from American Apparel. Oh and of course my black plastic pants by Ellery.

What are your indulgences?
Half of the S/S 09/10 Ellery Collection and Acne wedges.

What can’t you live without?
My miniature straw hat and online shopping.

What is past its use-by-date?
Possibly half of my wardrobe but I am too much of a hoarder to pass anything away.

What is your wardrobe craving?
The entire S/S10 Alexander McQueen collection.

About Rachelle Sinclair:
Who is this Rachelle Sinclair, this 23 year old born and bred Brisbane missy? She is a traveller, with her work taking her across the globe every other week while still keeping her foot in the door at home as a freelance fashion stylist and publicist. Rachelle has worked at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, Brisbane Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival and worked with some of Australia’s leading creatives. She has been Fashion Editor at the independent art, culture and fashion magazine, Libertine. And worked independently on fashion, public relations, photography and art projects for the past few years.

In the cities and places she visits, Rachelle uncovers, collects and documents those gems found in the margins, in the subsurface and in the roads overlooked and abandoned. All things considered - be it garment, accessory, snippet of music, tidbit of culture. And what comes back with Rachelle, either in substance or in memory, is massaged into her projects as inspiration. Rachelle love to observe all that is around her. That’s who she is.
